Why should I use a personal email address for my Socra ID?
Use a personal email address that you expect to keep. Your Socra ID represents you across Socra. The Accounts you join, including an employer's Account, have their own membership and access rules.
A work email address may stop working when you leave an organization. That can prevent you from receiving a sign-in or password-reset code. Using a personal address keeps access to your ID under your control.
You can accept an Account invitation sent to a work address while signing in with your existing personal Socra ID. Acceptance uses that ID; your email address in the Account's directory can differ from your ID's sign-in address. The invitation must be valid, and any required Workspace seat payment must succeed before membership is added. Keep the invitation link private.
Use the same ID when you join another Account. Creating another ID for each employer separates your memberships between identities and makes it harder to select the Account you need.
Your personal ID does not give you permanent access to an organization's Account. An Account owner can remove your membership. You can continue to use your ID for other Accounts where you remain a member.
