What can I use Journeys for?
Use Journeys for work that benefits from a conversation, written context, and a recorded decision. It supports content creation, research, consulting, and product planning.
A Socra gives one piece of work a place to develop. Related Socras can use shared background from a Journey.
Start with a concrete result
Describe what you want to decide or produce. Include the evidence and constraints that could change the answer. For example:
- A consultant can compare recommendations for a client's 3D printing problem.
- A writer can revise an article using an established voice and brief.
- A thesis writer can examine sources and record why a section uses them.
- An AI coaching-tool founder can decide which product assumption an experiment should test.
Rough notes can be a useful starting point. State what is known, what is uncertain, and what would count as a useful result.
Review the work
Ask for the evidence behind a consequential recommendation. Correct facts in the conversation and state the decision you accept. An AI response can contain errors, and a confident answer does not establish that its sources support it.
Keep work that shares a goal in a Journey. Review its Context before starting later Socras, and update outdated points when needed.
